'The People's Soprano'

Affectionately named 'The People's Soprano' by fans, colleagues and the media, singer-songwriter Rebecca Newman stormed into number one in the Official UK Classical Albums Chart with her debut chart release in September 2014.

As well as her own theatre shows, Rebecca has joined Russell Watson, Alfie Boe, Aled Jones, Joseph Calleja, BLAKE, G4 and many others on stage.

Rebecca has featured on BBC Song's of Praise, BBC Radio 2, Classic FM, SKY, and multiple regional TV and radio stations.

Charity Single Release for WAY - Widowed & Young

Rebecca became a mum in 2017 but in 2020 she tragically lost her husband due to an undiagnosed heart condition. Rebecca took some time out to focus on her family life.

In summer 2022, Rebecca returned to the stage to launch her new song, Per Sempre, at the York Proms, an event Rebecca co-founded with her late husband.

The new song will be raising money and awareness for the charity WAY - Widowed and Young, which has been a very valuable source of support and hope since losing her husband. The song is an upifting but poignant song about love.
